Aiyyaa: Cringe-Worthy!

Meenakshi(Rani Mukherji ) andSurya (Prithviraj Sukumaran)’s romantic-comedy produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, Aiyyaa (2012)is a wannabe  offering somersaulting between neither-here -nor -there zone and interpreting love in its own way by playing around  with audiences patience and expectations !

After long, it was fun to see  a well chiseled out attractive male (Prithviraj Sukumaran) put on  display for female gratification. Even at the cost of sounding blasphemous, I can’t resist pointing out that Sukumaran’s objectification reminded me of Milind Soman in ‘Made in India’ [  check the video heresmile emoticon

♥ ♥ ♥  the idea of using olfactory powers & pheromones to bring out the most obvious simultaneous existence of love-lust equation (highlighting the sexumotional nature of love), breaking away the Berlin Wall of devout love and blasphemous lust, that Hindi films find difficult to balance with  !

The absurdity and surreality that perpetrates the subplot  was just nauseating !

[Psssssssssstttttt….I too, had have a great ‘something’ for someone with an amazing smell, do you too?mrgreen]

Please feel free to lash out or appreciate.
